EXTENDED CARE
This program is provided as a service for parents, particularly working parents that are unable to be here when school starts and/or closes each day. Our overall goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for your child and a feeling of security for parents, knowing that your child is well taken care of.
The extended care program is centered in the libray/computer center. It will provide a time for homework, outside playtime, snack, computer, tv time and free-choice play.
A snack is offered at 4:30pm. For children dropped off before school, parents' may desire to send a morning snack for breakfast.
During the program, teachers will post a sign near the pick up door to let you know where they can be found.
All students MUST be signed in for AM care and out for PM care by the person dropping them off or picking them up.
An Extended Care Registration Form must be filled out and on file for any child that attends.
Schedules:
AM
6:00am - 8:00am All students will report to AM care upon arrival if they are at school before 8:00am. Free Choice play will be offered during this time. Children are permitted to bring a snack.
PM
3:15pm All students will be escorted to PM care, if they have
not been picked up during dismissal. Attendance will be taken.
3:15 - 4:15pm Quite time for homework (If children are enrolled
in School of the Arts they will be dismissed).
4:15 - 4:30pm Snack is distributed.
4:30 - 5:00pm Outside to playground (weather permitting) 5:00 - 6:00pm Free-choice play, clean-up, Ready for pick-up
Billing Procedures:
Extended Care is billed monthly. There is a one hour mimimum charge of $10.00. All checks are made payable to OVCA.
